Account Executive

RLM Software is looking for an Account Executive to sell its suite of flight tracking solutions, known as FlightView®. The Sales Executive will be based out of RLM's headquarters in Allston, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate revenue by selling FlightView® solutions to airlines, airports, business aviation and ground transportation.
  • Manage the sales cycle.
  • Develop and execute a tactical sales plan for your territory.
  • Prospect new business & cultivate and extend existing client relationships.
  • Conduct meaningful phone conversations and deliver presentations via web meeting or face to face to multiple levels of decision makers.

Required Skills & Experiences:

  • 3-5 years of sales experience. Prior software sales experience and/or prior experience in the aviation industry is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated, organized, self-starter with ability to plan, execute and achieve results.
  • Strong organization, sales forecasting and pipeline management skills.
  • High level of enthusiasm and energy.
  • Some travel required.

Software Engineer - Air Traffic Management Systems

Responsibilities:

Software engineering work in support of a major FAA Air Traffic Management (ATM) system modernization program. Successful candidate will be required to perform as a member of a team responsible for technical consulting and oversight of software design and implementation. Specific duties include:

  • Review and analysis of system and software requirements
  • Providing software engineering expertise associated with design, development, test, and deployment of a real-time, software-intensive system
  • Support to FAA software engineering activities across all software lifecycle phases with an emphasis on modern processes, methods, and tools

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of Software Engineering experience with large, software-intensive systems or software modernization/legacy system migration projects
  • Requirements analysis
  • Software project estimation, including size, cost, and schedule
  • COTS product viability evaluations
  • Software design, coding and testing
  • On-site assessments of operational systems
  • Prototyping for risk reduction
  • Performance analyses including metrics data definition, collection, and modeling
  • Deliverable document development and review
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Object-oriented techniques and methods
  • Working knowledge of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Use Case modeling is highly desired
  • Familiarity with J2EE, web services, and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
  • RDBMS design and development experience, particularly with Oracle
  • COCOMO experience a plus
  • Experience working with Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems and/or the National Airspace System is a plus

Degree: BS/MS (Experience can substitute for educational requirements)

Major(s): Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Management Information Systems, Operations Research, or equivalent
