FlightView Real-time Flight Displays

Salt Lake City International Airport, the 25th largest airport in the nation, has purchased FlightView Monitor and FlightView XML Data to enhance flight data throughout the airport. FlightView Monitor provides a graphical snapshot of air traffic that allows customers to see their flight and weather in real-time. In addition, FlightView XML Data will be easily integrated into Salt Lake City's existing FIDS, providing accurate and up-to-the-minute flight status.

With more than 20 million passengers traveling through Salt Lake City annually, the implementation of FlightView for the terminal and web will allow Salt Lake to provide the accuracy and service that their passengers have come to expect. FlightView Monitor on the web and in the terminal will provide family and friends with the most up-to-the-minute arrival information for their loved ones. FlightView Monitor is a fully customizable real-time graphical display of all arrivals and/or departures overlaid with high-resolution weather. As it is often said, a picture is worth a thousand words, and Salt Lake's traveling public will be able to see an instant snapshot of delays, early arrivals, and inclement weather with FlightView Monitor.

Salt Lake City looks forward to offering this convenience to their travelers. Airport Director, Tim Campbell, said, "We are excited about providing our customers with real-time information on arriving flights. It adds another dimension to the traditional FIDS monitor and it will be welcomed by those waiting for arriving passengers."

"We are pleased to be working with Salt Lake City International, an airport that enjoys a high rating in customer service among international airports," said Lorraine Flynn, president of RLM Software, "FlightView accurately answers the number one customer question - Wheres my plane? with a modern visual display that is appreciated by travelers and airport personnel."

Salt Lake City will also integrate FlightView XML Datafeed into their FIDS. This data is fully synchronized and automatically updated, providing the most accurate and reliable flight information. In the past airports have had to rely on the airlines to update flight information, but FlightViews real-time technology will be a great improvement, as airlines are not always able to update their information as frequently or accurately as necessary.
