FlightView Officially Launches Live!, a Real-Time, Automated Flight Tracking Service for Commercial Flights

FlightView, a brand division of RLM Software, announces today the release of Live!, an all new online flight tracking service for commercial flights that is immediately available at www.flightview.com. Live! is an animated, automated service that displays the actual position, route and status of any commercial flight in North America. Live! actually �flies� the airplane along its route in real-time, or as real as the F.A.A. will allow. Users can activate the Weather to see what their friends or family are flying around, use the Zoom controls to see the airplane up close or from the moon and users can use the Replay-mode to see where the plane has flown while they stepped away from their computer.
Live! features enable users to:
- See the actual route the plane is flying � as it flies it!
- Experience the flight for themselves with Replay Mode.
- Keep updated on flight status without performing any additional surfing � just click over to the mini-window.
Live! has been available as a beta and in limited release for the past few months and feedback has been very, very positive. "Just wanted to take the time to thank you guys for such a wonderful tool. With Live!, web customers can continuously track any commercial flight that is en route in a small mini-window that launches directly from any browser on the Windows operating system. Live! requires no special software installation, but it does require an upgrade to the latest version of Java by Sun Microsystems. After a brief demo period, users can purchase a single DayPass for the remainder of that day for under a dollar via PayPal.
